Norfolk - Mrs. Dorothy Shaw Carr, of 806 Avenue B, died Aug. 13 at her home.  
Final rites were held at First Baptist Church, Bute Street, Monday by the Rev. 
E. Paul Simms.  Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral Home 
in charge.

A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of Columbus and Mrs. Martha Eley Shaw.  
Mrs. Shaw was a member of the usher board No. 2 and the hospitality board of 
First Baptist Church, Bute street.

She is survived by three brothers, John Shaw of Portsmouth, Melvin Shaw of 
Virginia Beach, and Lloyd Shaw of San Francisco;  and one sister, Mrs. Thelma 
Reed, of Norfolk.
