Carr. died at the residence, 1007 Marshall Avenue, yesterday at 9:15 p.m. She was the daughter of Mortimer Gravatt Campbell and Mrs. Mary Louisa Campbell, of Essex County, and had been a resident of Norfolk for 75 years. She was a member of St. John A.M.E. Church for about 65 years. Mrs. Carr had a great- love for flowers, and in her advanced years worked in her garden and took bouquets to friends and neighbors. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marie Carr Gilliam; a son-in-law, Jerry O. Gilliam; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Samuels, of Chance; a brother, James Campbell, of Hartford, Conn.; a granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at St. John A.M.E. Church by the rev. James R. Johnson, Jr., pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
