McCosh, of 4808 Lake Park Avenue, Chicago. Mrs. McCosh was notified of her daughter's death, and the local undertaking establishment which is holding the body was awaiting word from the mother last night as to funeral arrangements. The young woman apparently was in her thirties. The reason for the visit of the young woman to Norfolk remains a question unsolved. Detective M. J. O'Connor, who handled the case, said he believed she was in Norfolk to see or communicate with someone at Fortress Monroe. A boy at the rooming house told Detective O'Connor that when the woman first arrived at the house four days ago, she had asked him to go to the general delivery window at the Post Office and see if there was a letter for her there from Fortress Monroe. That same day she went to bed and said nothing more of the letter to the boy. The boy told Detective O'Connor that the letter had never arrived; that he had visited the Post Office daily since her arrival. Funeral services for Mrs. Carr, who died Sunday morning at a local hospital, will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery. The body is now at James V. Derry Funeral Home, 346 West Princess Anne Road.
