Mr. Carr was born in Evanston, Ill., and was the son of the late Dorothy Ferguson Carr and Anthony J. Carr Sr. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk. Mr. Carr was retired from the hospitality management industry, with his favorite job being the Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach as food and beverage director. Mr. Carr is survived by his beloved wife, Melodye S. Carr. He was a devoted and adoring father to his sons, Anthony J. Carr III and Shane Patrick Carr, all of Norfolk. He is also survived by his loving sister, Mary Pat Carr of Evanston, Ill.; and a brother, the Rev. Father Marty P. Carr of Oshkosh, Wis. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Jay Wagner and Monsignor Pitt. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk. H.D.
