Turner Carrington, 97, of the 3100 block of Holland Road, died May 29, 1989, in a hospital. Mrs. Carrington, a native and former resident of Norfolk, was the widow of Albert N. Carrington Sr. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Xi Beta Xi, Unted order of Tents, Beulah Chapter 60, and Norfolk Mission College Alumni Association. Survivors include four daughters, Viola C.T. Smith and Senghor Senegal, both of Norfolk, Annie Brickhouse of Chesapeake and Janice Winslow of Maryland; seven sons, Leon T. Carrington, Robert Brickhouse, Reginald Brickhouse and Roger Jones, all of Virginia Beach, Homer S.I. Carrington of Cambria Heights, N.Y., Leonard Brickhouse of Indianapolis and Robert Walker of Portsmouth; 36 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. A Mass will be celebrated at noon Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church by the Rev. Walter C. Barrett. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hale Funeral Home and other times at 1757 Landstown Road. Friends and family will assemble at 11:15 a.m. Friday in the funeral home for the procession.
