Mr. Carrington had retired from teaching at Booker T. Washington and Granby high schools after 37 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the Norfolk-Hampton Advisors Commission. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ella H. Carrington; his mother, Viola Turner Carrington; a son, Albert Norman Carrington III of Norfolk; two sisters, Viola C. Smith and Senegal Senghor, north of Norfolk; two brothers, Leon Turner Carrington Sr. of Virginia Beach and Homer S.I. Carrington of Cambria Heights, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by Dr. Robert Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at the residence. A wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday in Hale Funeral Home. The body will be place in the church at 1 p.m. Friday.
