Virginian Pilot, Friday, Dec 26,1969
Norfolk - Mrs Dorothy Whitfield Carroll of 407 Westover Ave., died Dec. 21 in a 
hospital.  A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of Mrs. Mollie Whitfield 
and  the wife of Leon Carroll.

She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by six sons, Jerry Carroll, Leon Carroll, Roland Whitfield, 
Elliott Whitfield, and Melvin Whitfield of Norfolk and John Whitfield of the 
Bronx NY;  five daughters, Joyce Carroll and Dorothy Carroll of Norfolk and 
Joanne Carroll, Sylvia Carroll, and Mrs. Geraldine James of New York;  15 
grandchildren;  and three great - grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Graves Funeral Chapel.  
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
