Norfolk Virginian Pilot, Sunday, May 14,1944
Otis Harrison Carroll, 64, husband of Lula Tyree Carroll, died at the residence,
2814 Church street, yesterday at 6:05 p.m.  Besides his wife he is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. James Darden, of London Bridge;  four sons, Alvin H. and Edwin C.
Carroll, both of Norfolk, Frank T. Carroll, U. S. Army,overseas, and John W.
Carroll, U.S. Army;  three sisters, Mrs. Zola Cummings and Mrs. W. M. Atkinson,
both of Norfolk, and Mrs. Henry Oliver, of Princess Anne County;  two brothers,
W. J. and R. D. Carroll, both of Norfolk;  nine grandchildren and several nieces
and nephews.

Mr. Carroll was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of
Norfolk 40 years.  He was a member of Corinthian Lodge No. 266, A.F. & A. M.,
and was a building contractor for a number of years.

The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral
arrangements.
