Virginian-Pilot September 10, 1902
The obsequies of Mr. Samuel T. Carson were held from the family residence, 16 
Falkland street, at 11:30 o’clock yesterday morning and was attended by friends of 
the deceased. The sermon was conducted by Rev. Upton Beall Thomas, assistant 
rector of Christ Episcopal church. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood 
cemetery. The deceased was 33 years old and is survived by a widow and one child.
