NORFOLK — Richard J. Carson, 73, formerly of 2315 Shoop Ave., died Saturday in a 
hospital.

A native of Mt. Vernon County, West Chester, NY., he retired from De Paul Hospital 
as a laboratory technician after 40 years. He was a member of Christ the King 
Catholic Church.

Survivors include four nephews, Charles B. Wilmoth of Virginia Beach, John T. 
Wilmoth of Altmote Springs, Fla., Robert W. Wilmoth of Detroit, and William Carson 
of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and three nieces, Mrs. Jane W. Knight of Norfolk, Mrs. 
Elizabeth Klugh of Medfield, Mass., and Mrs. Mary Ann Carson of West Chester, N.Y.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a m in Christ the King Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 
Norfolk, has charge. A Christian wake service will be held today at 7.30 p.m. in 
the funeral home. The family will be at 1529 Morris Ave., Norfolk.
