Norfolk Journal and Guide,May 23,1953
SGT Samuel L. Carter - late of 7401 Southampton Ave. (Atlantic City) died in an
Army hospital May 10th. Funeral services were held from the Mt. Lebanon Baptist
Church, May 17th, with the Rev. F. P. Wise officiating. He is survived by his
mother, Mrs. Sarah Carter, grandmother, 1 brother and other relatives. Interment
in Calvary Cemetery. Riddick Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
