Norfolk Journal and Guide,Jan 9,1943
Funeral services for Charlie Carter, 36, 2248 Kent Street, who died in a local 
hospital December 29, were held at Hale's Chapel January 4. The Rev. R. D. K. 
Garrett officiated. Surviving is his mother, Mrs. Lucenia Carter. Burial was 
in Calvary Cemetery.
