Norfolk Journal and Guide, Mar 18,1933
The funeral of Mrs. Rose Carter, 2700 Mapleton avenue who died at her home, 
March 5, was held Wednesday, March 8, from the Woodlawn Avenue Baptist church, 
with the Rev. Mr. Clemmons officiating. The deceased was born in North 
Carolina, but had lived here for 20 years. A daughter, Miss Mamie Carter 
survives her. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
