Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch June 30, 1934
Funeral services for R. B. Carter, who died Thursday morning at the residence, 
1501 Norview avenue, Willoughby Beach, were held at 4 p.m. today at H. D. Oliver’s 
Funeral Apartments, No. 610-12 East Freemason street, with the Rev. Henry W. 
Dowding, rector of the Church of the Ascension, officiating. There was a large 
attendance and many floral offerings. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The 
pallbearers were family connections of the deceased.
