Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, October 30, 1992 
Lois H. Carter of the 6800 block of Glenoak Drive, a retired schoolteacher, died
Oct. 27, 1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. Carter was born in Norfolk and had retired from the Norfolk public schools
after 31 years. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Prince and Princess
Club and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She was the widow of James Carter.

Survivors include a sister, Dr. Ella Barco of Norfolk; and a brother, Paul J.
Hamilton Sr. of Virginia Beach.

The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Shiloh Baptist Church by
the Rev. John Foster. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the
family at 942 Anna St. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Graves
Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
