Norfolk - Final rites for Mrs. Lillie Mae Carter of 212 Franklin avenue were 
held Tuesday in Hale Funeral Chapel.  The Rev. Rufus Thornton delivered the 
eulogy.  Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.  She died May 28 in a hospital after 
a long illness.

The Norfolk native was the daughter of Ettseard  Canady and Mrs. Nora Canady and 
the wife of Charlie Carter.  Mrs. Carter was a member of First Calvary Baptist.
