Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 18, 1952
Alan Dale Carter, 24-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Carter, of 1509 
East Brambleton Avenue, died yesterday at 2:30 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital.
Besides his parents, surviving are one sister, Irma Rochelle Carter, three 
brothers, William Edward Carter, Jr., Curtis Linwood Carter and James Melton 
Carter, all of Norfolk; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis H. Hatfield 
and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Carter, also of Norfolk.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk.  Funeral services 
will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery.
