Norfolk - George R. Carter, 54, of 1336 Godfrey avenue died recently in a local
hospital.

A native of Pittsburgh, he was the son of Edward W. Carter Sr., and Mrs.
Elizabeth Conner Carter.

He is survived by a son; two daughters; two brothers, Andrew C. Carter and
Edward W. Carter Jr., of Norfolk; and a sister, Mrs. Adell Enty of Philadelphia.

A funeral service was held in B. F. King Funeral Home by the Rev. J. L. Kearney.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
