The Norfolk Virginian, October 27, 1895

Died in New York
Mrs. William J. Carter, widow of the late Joseph Decarmiss, died at Bath Beach, 
N.Y., on Friday and her remains will be sent to this City for interment, 
reaching here this afternoon by the Old Dominion steamer. They will be at once 
taken to Cedar Grove Cemetery.
