Virginian Pilot September 6, 1902

Mary S. Carter, the infant daughter of Mrs. Emily V. Carter and grandchild of Mrs. 
Mary S. Batten, died yesterday at the toll gate, Princess Anne County, aged 10 
months. The funeral will take place from the residence today.
                          ***************
CARTER - At the residence of her parents at the toll gate, Princess Anne Road, 
Friday, September 5th, at 11:30 a.m., MARY S. CARTER, infant daughter of Emily V. 
and Steven Carter, age 10 months.
The funeral will take place THIS (Saturday) MORNING, at 10 a.m. at the grave in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
