A native of Norfolk, he was a Baptist and a veteran of World War II. Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Janice Warren of Norfolk; five sisters, Miss Beatrice Cartwright, Mrs. Alberta Pippins, Mrs. Cora Fentress, Miss Lillian Cartwright, and Miss Emell Cartwright of Norfolk; and three brothers, Harry cartwright Jr., of Bridgeport, Conn., and Linnie Cartwright and William Cartwright of Norfolk. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at noon in St. Mark United Church of Christ by the Rev. David P. Butts. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Calvary Cemetery. Metropolitan Funeral Home has charge.
