NORFOLK – Lonnie Cartwright of 916 S. Main St., Berkley, the husband of Mrs. 
Virginia Cartwright, died Sunday, September 29, in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Mrs. Bertha Cartwright.

He worked for U.S. Tire Co. 14 years.

Also surviving are a daughter, Miss Theodore Cartwright, and two sons, Lonnie 
Cartwright and Samuel Cartwright, all of New York; five sisters, Miss Beatrice 
Cartwright, Mrs. Alberta Pippins, Mrs. Sarah Fentriss, Miss Lillian Cartwright, 
and Miss Emell Cartwright of Norfolk; two brothers, William Cartwright of 
Norfolk and Harry Cartwright Jr. of Bridgeport, Conn.; and five grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Saturday, October 5, in St. Mark United Church of 
Christ by the Rev. David P. Butts. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with 
Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge.
