He was 38 years old and was well known in Norfolk. The body was removed to the Gregory Funeral Home, 3401 Granby Street. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. *********************************************************************** CARTWRIGHT, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, JR. - Suddenly at a local hospital, Friday night, May 19, 1933, at 9 o'clock, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN CARTWRIGHT, son of B.F. Cartwright and the late Mrs. Mary A. Cartwright, in the 38th year of his age. Funeral services will be conducted at the Gregory Funeral Home, 3401 Granby Street, THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. Cartwright, Jr. - Funeral services for Mr. Cartwright, who died Friday night, will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Gregory Funeral Home, 3401 Granby Street, with the Rev. Sparks W. Melton, pastor of Freemason Street Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Cartwright was a native of Norfolk and was the son of B.F. Cartwright and Mrs. Mary A. Cartwright. He was a member of the 111th Field Artillery and served in the World War as a member of the Twenty-ninth Division. He volunteered for service soon after the United States entered that struggle. He was 38 years old and was well known in Norfolk.
