Final rites were conducted April 14 in the chapel of Pretlow’s Funeral Home for
Bryant B. Cartwright. Mr. Cartwright died in a local hospital April 9 after a
brief illness.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cartwright of 1109 Middlesex
street, Norfolk; five brothers, Jimmie, William, Roosevelt, Harry Jr., and
Levenson Cartwright; five sisters, Misses Beatrice, Alberta, Lillian, Cora and
Mel Cartwright.

The Rev. David P. Butts, pastor of Saint Mark Christian church, officiated at
the final rites. Interment was in Mount Olive Cemetery with Pretlow Funeral Home
in charge of arrangements.
