Virginian-Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark  September 12, 1933

Mrs. Elizabeth Ormsby Carver, widow of Carl Carver and daughter of the late 
James and Rosanna Riley Ormsby, died Sunday at Philadelphia, Pa. Remains will be 
taken from H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, 
Norfolk, to St. Mary's Cemetery, for services at the grave tomorrow afternoon at 
3 o'clock.
Mrs. Carter was a sister of the late Charles J. Ormsby.

ELIZABETH ORMSBY, widow of Carl Carver and daughter of the late James and 
Rosanna Riley Ormsby.

Mrs. Elizabeth Ormsby Carver — Services for Mrs. Carver, widow of Carl Carver, 
whose death occurred Sunday at Philadelphia, were held at the grave in St. 
Mary's cemetery, Norfolk, at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon, with the Rev. A. J. 
Taylor, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. There were a number of 
floral offerings. A delegation from the Ladles’ Auxiliary Fleet Reserve 
Association attended the services in a body. The pallbearers were family 
connections of the deceased.
