D. Oliver Funeral Home, 610 East Freemason street, for Carl Carver, aged 48, a retired chief petty officer, U. S. N., who died suddenly Wednesday night in Philadelphia while he was preparing to leave for Norfolk to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law, Charles Ormsby. Mr. Carver was a veteran of the World War, as well as the Spanish- American War, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth L. Carver; one son, Kenneth Carver; one stepson, Charles Edwards, and several brothers. Funeral services will be conducted with military honors. The Rev. E. A. Brosnan, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
