Virginian-Pilot February 8, 1956
Bourdon Cary, aged 83 years, husband of Mrs. Hamilton McCarrick Cary and son of 
the late John Staples and Mrs. Sarah Bourdon Cary, died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday at 
a Norfolk hospital. Mr. Cary was a native of Petersburg and had been a resident 
of Norfolk for 55 years, residing at 503 Manteo Street at the time of his death.
He was associated with the C. W. Grandy Company for 17 years, retiring in 1946.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Hamilton McCarrick Cary, of Norfolk, he is  survived by 
one sister, Miss Annie M. Cary, and a brother, Richard Milton Cary, both of 
Petersburg.
Services will be conducted privately at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments this 
afternoon by the Rev. Jason L. MacMillan, D.D., pastor-emeritus of the First 
Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
