Mr. Case was born in Snowhill, N.C., and had worked at several local auto dealerships. He was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church, Owens Masonic Lodge (NU)164 and Khedive Shrine Temple. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Rachael M. Case; one foster daughter, Shirley Newcomb of Manistique, Mich.; one sister, Helen DeRuyter of Antigo, Wis.; and one brother, Fredrick S. Case of Morgantown, W.Va. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Magnolia Cemetery by the Rev. Will Kiser-Lowrance. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
