Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 16, 1955

Mrs. Mary Rose Casey, 48, wife of Francis J. Casey and daughter of the late Leo 
and Mrs. Mary Sweeney, died at a Norfolk hospital Monday at 8:20 p.m. She was a 
native of Chicago and had been a resident of Norfolk for seven years, residing 
at 831 West 46th Street at the time of her death.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Miss Mary Frances Casey 
and Miss Patricia Ann Casey, of Norfolk; three sons, William J. Casey, USAF; 
Thomas J. Casey, of the Merchant Marine; and Robert J. Casey, of Norfolk; two 
sisters, Mrs. Anne Kenney and Mrs. Alice Borchardt and a brother, John List, all 
of Chicago.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will 
be in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Rosary services will be held at the funeral 
apartments today at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Mary Rose Casey — Funeral services for Mrs. Casey, wife of Francis J. 
Casey, who died Monday, were conducted yesterday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas M. Summers. The Rev. Henry Magee and the Rev. 
Edward A. Bellas were present in the sanctuary. Burial was in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. The pallbearers were W. E. Dugan, Herman Helms, Victor Dumar, G. R. 
Moore, J. A. Capone and Raymond Hearst, Jr.
