Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 25, 1993

John W. Casey, 71, died Feb. 23, 1993, in Virginia Beach. 
Mr. Casey was born in Bridgeport, Conn. He had retired from the Navy after 20 
years of service and had also retired from the Norfolk Sheriff's Department as a 
chief jailer. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association, Branch (NU)60. 
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth W. Casey; two sisters, Minnie McCullock of 
Nautucket, Conn., and Dorothy O'Brian of Bridgeport; and one brother, Walter 
Casey of Somerville, Mass. 
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Larry C. Miles. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. 
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight, where a Fleet 
Reserve service will be held at 7 p.m.
