Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 7, 1923
Charles D. Casey, aged 76 years, died yesterday morning at 2:40 o'clock at his 
home, 331 State Street, after a long illness.  He was born at New Bern, N.C. and 
had been a resident here 35 years.  He leaves one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Beatrice 
Casey.
The funeral will be conducted at Memorial Methodist Church of which he was a 
member, this afternoon at 2 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. R. Finley Gayle.  Burial 
will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
