Virginian Pilot July 6, 1906

James A. Casey, died yesterday morning at an early hour in his home, in Virginia 
street, after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Casey came here from Nansemond County, Va., about twenty-five years ago.  He 
was 65 years old.  Formerly he was in the employ of the Norfolk County Ferry 
company as engineer. He was a member of the following orders: Chesapeake Tribe 
No. 50, I.O.R.M.; Lee Lodge No. 74, I.O.O.F.; Order of Marine Engineers; 
Niemeyer-Shaw Camp, Confederate Veterans.  He is survived by his wife and one 
brother, Hiram Casey.
His funeral will take place in Berkley Avenue Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 
3 o'clock.  The interment will be made in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.  Rev. W.A 
Smith, pastor of the church, will officiate.
