Virginian-Pilot  June 27, 1896
The funeral of Mr. James H. Cashin took place at 9 o’clock yesterday morning from 
St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was largely attended. The service was conducted by 
the pastor, Rev. Father John Doherty, and the interment was in St. Mary’s 
cemetery. The following were the pall-bearers: J. J. Cheadle, R. L. Gaylord, W. S. 
Buchanan, J. T. Madden, William Keefe, A. P. Fitzpatrick and John Fletcher. The 
floral tributes were very beautiful. The following were the flower-bearers: 
Messrs. Walter F. Thompson, Patrick Noonan, J. Lloyd Gordon and Samuel Connelly.
