Martin Cashin died at his residence, 553 Church street, at 1:30 o'clock Sunday 
morning, January 26, in the eighty-third year of his age. He was a native of 
Ireland, but had resided in Norfolk fifty-seven years and was well known and 
highly esteemed. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Margaret A. Cashin; a 
granddaughter, Miss Mary Louise Cashin, and was the father of the late Miss Mary 
Cashin, who died a few weeks ago, also of the late John W. Cashin.

The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Catholic church, of which he was a member, 
at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
