Miss Mary J. Cashin died at her residence, No. 462 Church street, at 5:30 o’clock 
Monday morning after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Martin and the late 
Hannah Cashin and was a lady of many beautiful and attractive traits of character 
and had a host of friends who knew her only to love. She was a native of Albany, 
N. Y., but had been a resident of Norfolk from early childhood. She is survived by 
a father, one sister, Miss Marguerite A. and a niece, Miss Mary L. Cashin, all of 
this city. The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Catholic church Wednesday 
morning at 10 o’clock. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
