Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 13, 1935

Miss Margaret A. Cashin, daughter of the late Martin and Hannah Cahsin, died at 
a local hospital last night at 10:05 o'clock. She was a native and lifelong 
resident of Norfolk and was well known and highly esteemed. She is survived by 
one niece, Mrs. Harry J. Hicks and a number of cousins. The body will be taken 
from the residence, 634 West Princess Anne Road, to Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church, of which Miss Cashin was a consistent member, for funeral services 
Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Miss Margaret A. Cashin — Funeral services for Miss Cashin, daughter of the late 
Martin and Hannah Cashin, whose death occurred Friday evening at a local 
hospital, were held at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church, with the Rev. Paul V. Heller officiating. The Right Rev. Msgr. Thomas E. 
Waters, Rev. E. A. Brosnan, Rev. R. B. Kealey, Rev. Martin T. Quinn, Rev. P. P. 
Brennan and Rev. N. J. Habets were present in the sanctuary. During the service, 
Mrs. James Hughes and Miss Nora Lawler sang, "Abide With Me," with Prof. J. 
Harvey Stevens, organist. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers 
were James T. Holland, Walter H. Dey, George M. Heppel, Judge O. L. Shackleford, 
Joseph McPhillips, Frank L. Barry, Walter L. Buchanan and H. D. Oliver.
