His death was attributed to a heart ailment. He had been employed by the Virginia Electric and Power Company. A son of the late Daniel and Mrs. Mary Ellen Walsh Cashman, he was a native of Ireland and had been a resident of this section for 38 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and also held membership in the Norfolk Lodge No. 38, B.P.O.Elks. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Mary J. Cashman, he is survived by a son, William J. Cashman; a granddaughter, Mary Adele Cashman, both of Norfolk; three brothers, James and John Cashman, of Boston, Mass. and Daniel Cashman, of Ireland and a sister, Miss Mary Joseph Cashman, also of Ireland. The body will be take from the residence to the Blessed Sacrament Church for funeral services tomorrow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the residence tonight at 8 o'clock. ************************************************************************* William Cashman — Funeral services for Mr. Cashman, who died Monday, were conducted at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church yesterday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. B. J. McKenna. The Rev. Joseph V. Brennan was present in the sanctuary. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A delegation from Norfolk Lodge No. 38, B. P. 0. Elks, was in attendance. Active pallbearers were Capt. Paul Redmond, L. A. Hudson, Earl Gornto, Sgt. Allie Hudgins, C. C. Petersen, Vernon Harris, George Harper and John Bashara.
