Virginia Beach - Mrs. Virgie Rogers Cason of 5516 Daniel Smith Lane, the 
wife of Walter Thomas Cason and a native of Gates, NC, died Wednesday in a 
hospital.

She was a member of St. John AME Church, Davis Corner, and its senior choir, 
celestial choir, senior usher board and missionary circle, St. Alethia 
Eastern Star Chapter 83, and Queen of Princess Anne Tents 506.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Foreman of Virginia 
Beach and Mrs. Gertrude Walker of Norfolk; six grandchildren; 13 great-
grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

A funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.in St. John AME Church, Davis 
Corner, by the Rev. E. H. Terrell Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 
Norfolk, with Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge.
