Norfolk Landmark April 8, 1917
Mrs. Annette Mercer Cason, wife of B. F. Cason, died at the residence, 2704 Hamlin 
avenue at 6:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon, age 66 years. Besides her husband, she 
is survived by three daughters, Mrs. C. W. Plummer, Mrs. E. A. Tarkenton, both of 
Norfolk, Mrs. C. W. Thomas, of Kansas City; one son, A. B. Cason, of Norfolk; four 
step-children, Mrs. P. E. Rathbun and Mrs. Eva Hampton of Norfolk; Mrs. Walter 
Gallup, of Virginia Beach and S. C. Cason, of Baltimore; one sister, Mrs. 
Elizabeth Burgess; two brothers, Samuel Mercer and W. W. Mercer, of Norfolk.
The funeral will take place at the residence at 11 a.m. Tuesday and interment will 
be in Elmwood cemetery.
