Cason, of the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk railroad's steamer New York, died suddenly at the home of her mother on Church Street Sunday afternoon about 2:30 o'clock, after only a few minutes' illness, heart failure being the cause of death. She was thirty-four years of age and leaves four children, the eldest ten years, and the youngest four weeks old. The funeral will take place at 5 o'clock this afternoon, from St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Berkley, the rector, Rev. Robert Gatewood, officiating. ******************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Bettie Cason, wife of Capt. John F. Cason, of the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk steamer New York, took place from St. Paul's P.E. Church yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock and was largely attended. The floral offerings were numerous and handsome. The services were conducted by Rev. Robert Gatewood, after which the remains were carried to their last resting place in Magnolia Cemetery. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Hon. John M. Berkley, L.C. Jones, George Hall, George Simpson, H.L. West, E.A. Graves, J.S. Rodgers and John Dashiell.
