Howard A. Cason, who died Friday afternoon at 4:20 o'clock in Wilmington, Del., will be conducted at the Broad Street Methodist Church, Port Norfolk, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Roscoe Jones, pastor of the church, and the Rev. W.L. Murphy, D.D., pastor of the Central Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery. Captain Cason was active in church, fraternal and political circles in Portsmouth and Port Norfolk for many years, and was widely known throughout Tidewater Virginia. Captain Cason was a native of Norfolk County and a son of John Frederick and Mrs. Margaret Wallace Cason. He had been a resident of Port Norfolk 31 years. He recently retire, after 50 years service, with the N.Y., P. & N. He was a member of Tidal Wave Lodge, A.F. and A.M., and Tidal Wave Chapter, Order Eastern Star, Port Norfolk. He was a steward and trustee of the Broad street Methodist Church and teacher of the Men's Bible Class for the past 20 years. He was formerly lay leader of the Portsmouth Methodist District. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Leila Humphries Cason; one brother, Louis Cason of Ocean View; one half sister, Mrs. N.B. Etheridge, and several nieces and nephews.
