The Virginian Pilot Wednesday December 28, 1955
Miss Annie V. Casteen, 62, of 6508 George Washington Highway, Deep Creek, died 
Tuesday in a Portsmouth hospital after a long illness.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk County, Miss Casteen was the daughter of James 
Edward and Mrs. Sarah Ann Casteen.  She was a member of Deep Creek Methodist 
Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Warren Moore, of Denver, Colo. and Mrs. 
William Deal, of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, W.T. Casteen of Cape Charles, 
T.G. Casteen, of Deep Creek and J.V. Casteen, Sr., of Norfolk.
The body was taken to Snellings Funeral Home, where funeral services will be 
conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk.
