Nicholas A. Castruccio, Captain USN (ret), born February 24, 1926, died peacefully 
at age 96 on May 7, 2022, in Santa Monica, California. May he rest in peace. He is 
survived by his six children. He lived to see his 15 grandchildren and 9 great-
grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic 
Church, Virginia Beach, VA, at 10:00am on June 3, 2022. Immediately following 
Mass, burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk, VA, next to his beloved 
wife, Anne. A memorial celebration in St. Croix to follow at a later date. For
