Grace Bottino Catalano, 88, of the 400 block of Ridgeley Road, died Jan. 23, 1998, 
in a Chesapeake hospital.

Mrs. Catalano was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She was the retired 
owner and operator of Ajax Tile and Marble Co. She was the widow of John E. 
Catalano. Mrs. Catalano was a graduate of The College of William and Mary and was 
a Roman Catholic.

Survivors include a daughter, Gracie Bottino Kirchgessner of Chapel Hill, N.C.; 
two sons, Michael Bottino of New York City, Sanford Bottino of Norfolk; a sister, 
Mary Boswell Harris of Chesapeake; two brothers, Frank Cogliandro of Chesapeake, 
Charles Cogliandro of Warren, N.J.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A Chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 
Norfolk, by the Rev. John Dorgan. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. The 
family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial 
donations may be made to The Charles House, Senior Day Care Center, Hillcrest 
Avenue, Carrboro, N.C., 27510.
