She was 54 years old, a native of Ireland, and had been a resident of Norfolk for over 35 years. She is survived by her husband, Patrick J. Cavanaugh. The body will be taken from the residence, 1011 Virginia Street, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral services Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. **************************************************************************** Funeral services of Mrs. Margaret Smith Cavanaugh, wife of Patrick J. Cavanaugh, were conducted yesterday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church by the Rev. P. P. Brennan. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. A solo, "In the Hour of Trial," was sung by Mrs. James Hughes. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery. The pallbearers were G. W. Dorr, W. J. Walsh, F. J. O’Connor, Jerry Coleman, C. F. Riley, Robert Lawler, J. J. Snyder and Thomas King.
