Funeral from St. Mary's Catholic Church THIS (Thursday) AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. ************** Death of a Bright Boy The news of Master Joseph H. Cayton's death, which occurred yesterday morning at 3 o'clock, at his home, No. 235 Church Street, cast a gloom over his many friends and companions. The cadets of St. Mary's Academy will attend his funeral in a body. He was up to Christmas, an active and popular member of the cadets, but he had to leave school at the end of the 1895 session on account of his health. He was a bright and studious boy, of a quiet and gentle disposition and greatly liked by his schoolmates and companions. His funeral will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock. ******************************************************************************* The Remains of Joseph Cayton Escorted to Their Last Resting Place The funeral of Master Joseph J. Cayton took place yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The scene was very impressive. While the pallbearers, chosen from his friends, were bringing the remains from the house, passing in front of the Cadets of St. Mary's Academy, who were formed with arms presented, the drum corps of that school played that beautiful hymn, "Nearer My God to Thee." At St. Mary's Church Rev. Father Doherty read the burial services and delivered a touching eulogy on the deceased. The remains were escorted to the cemetery by the company of which he was a member and who will greatly miss him from their ranks.
