Virginian-Pilot  October 1, 1901
The obsequies of Mr. John B. Cayton were held from St. Mary's Catholic church at 3 
o’clock p.m. yesterday, and were conducted by Rev. Father Crowe, assisted by Rev. 
Father Hannigan. The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. Following 
were the pallbearers: John F. Lawler, Martin Ryan, Walter Thompson, John T. Casey, 
John Dunn and Nicholas Marine1.
