CHESAPEAKE - Thomas E. Ceder, 47, went to be with the Lord, Sept. 12, 2005.  He 
was born July 3, 1958, to the late Robert A. Ceder and Gloria Ceder Hangka.  
Thomas loved to fish and was an avid gardener, but he enjoyed playing his guitar 
for his family and friends at parties.  He was employed with Earl Industries for 
more than 11 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Gloria Ceder Hangka, of Virginia 
Beach; three brothers, Robert William Ceder, of Norfolk, Michael Andrew Ceder, of  
Virginia Beach, and Eric Rex Ceder, of Virginia Beach; uncle, Ernest F. Ceder, of 
Connecticut; and two nephews, Nicholas Allan and Matthew Ryan Ceder, both of 
Norfolk.

Father Thomas J. Quinlan will hold a Mass of the Resurrection Thursday at noon in 
Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach.  
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery on Granby Street, Norfolk.  The 
family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m. in Smith and Williams Funeral 
Home, Norfolk.
