Virginian-Pilot, December 2, 1879
Information of the death of Mr. Richard Chamberlaine, a former resident of 
Norfolk, but who has resided in New York for the past five years, reached this 
city yesterday morning by means of a private dispatch received by one of his 
relatives. Mr. Chamberlaine was the youngest son of the late R. H. 
Chamberlaine, Esq., of Norfolk, and was engaged in business in New York. He 
died on Sunday evening in the 37th year of his age.
