A native of Norfolk, she was a retired Norfolk City public school teacher for 42 years, a member of Grace Episcopal Church and a former secretary of St. Theresas Guild. She was the daughter of the late Anna H. Chambers and John H. Chambers. Survivors include a sister, Alice Chambers Bullock; two nephews, two nieces, six great- nephews, five great-nieces and nine great-great-nephews and -nieces. A funeral will be held at noon today at Grace Episcopal Church, Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk, by the Rev. Father Harold Cobbs Jr. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Daughters of the Kings of Grace Episcopal Church. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. today.
